AI Albachiara

AI moving-image experiment, 2026

Albachiara is my first AI moving-image project. Inspired by Vasco Rossi’s 1979 song, it transforms the figure of Albachiara from a lyric into a fictional visual character: a shy thirteen-year-old girl from provincial Italy, held between memory, adolescence and collective mythology.

The project has a personal origin. I began listening to Vasco Rossi as a young teenager and identified with Albachiara long before the song became an Italian cultural anthem. Working with AI opened a new creative landscape for me, bridging photography, painting and filmmaking, and allowing me to explore how memory, music and image can generate a cinematic world.
